I had to write a business plan for a business management class way back when....

Last year, I had to write mine to get some financing with an SBA loan. Because of the business plan I wrote, it made the process that much easier. I got asked VERY FEW questions on what was going to happen.

It sits in my filing cabinet and gets looked at every quarter when I do my taxes...

It has raelly helped me. Money will come from the Farm Service, because they will hold prop. instead of down payment. I will be ab;e to park and service truck at the dock. Now I will be able to collect rent from other boats!! Cost will be 350.000K for 20 at 2.5.

A business plan can be as short as a page. It can be dozens of pages long. I would try to keep it as short as possible, but make sure you cover everything. If it is too long, it won't be utilized as much as a shorter plan. There is no need to have a long business plan in this industry. You will likely have more in financial projections than the actual plan.
