Your chance to get a visa to be a truck driver in the USA is almost zero. Maybe you could get back into Canada? For the USA you really need to be a "skilled" worker such as an engineer, IT, or any other STEM majors are good. Then you are prob looking at a H2-B visa. If you see foreigners driving trucks in the USA they either have family in the US who sponsored them, they won the green-card lottery or they came in as refugees.

    Cheers!

Do you have family that lives and has citizenship in the United States?

Contrary to some folks opinions on here, @stacks , do not listen to those saying you're unwelcome because you're a "foreigner". Just glean the facts from what they have said that we are not a perfect country and we do have our own degree of unemployment we deal with here.

My personal opinion is, if you purpose is to seek gainful employment and to be a contributing member of our society, if your goal is better your position and seek opportunity, then that is, in fact, what the United States is built on. It simply means, do it legally.

I believe if you want to be a citizen of the United States and accept the responsibilities thereof, you are, without a doubt, in my estimation, welcome as a citizen.

Our nation never would have existed had it not been for people who desired to seek their opportunity here and we acted accordingly.

If you desire to enter legally and contribute, by all means, welcome.

I have family but they don't meet requirments as they are distant cousins that came to the USA on green cards and eventually became USA citizens .

If citizenship in the United States is imperative enough for you, you can join one of the branches of the United States military and, after having met the basic requirements therein, you can apply for naturalization as a U.S. citizen.

In order to enlist in any branch of the US military, one needs to be a lawful permanent resident (Green Card). The OP wants to come to the USA to work as a truck driver (which he did in Canada before and was able to legally enter the USA as a trucker from Canada). It is not possible to join the US military from abroad. Also the USA does not grant visas to foreigners to come to the USA to join the military.

Personally I think we should allow more foreigners to come to the USA and join the military if they want to. If you're willing to do military service which most Americans now refuse, then by all means you should also become a citizen.

Also, there are many Americans who would want to have the option to gain Irish citizenship, hint-hint, wink-wink ;-)
