I've tired that still doesn't work and I'm not too worried. Apparently a #### ton of drivers do it anyways. Besides it's not gonna be all night mainly when I use my microwave and use my Xbox. What happens is the truck will literally kill all the outlets inside in the middle of the and stop my frigde from going all night. If they were smart enough they'd put apus on. Science and evidence has proven it cuts cost way down

So setting the cruise at low idle doesn't work on the 17? Weird. I used to be able to get my 16 Cascadia to idle indefinitely by setting the cruise... only when I wanted the A/C on, though. Espar heater was good enough for me in the cold... just bump it a few extra degrees in the -5s and -10s, and that took the rest of the edge off

Well it's a 19 not 17. But yes the heater is fine but it mainly when I want to relax for a few either before bed or waiting.

I've tried the tricks with my 17 but nothing works. They have been reprogrammed.
I guess the programmers read these posts as well to find the weak areas.
Can't let those drivers get too comfortable, after all.

Every once in a while, when I use my stick for a cheat, it will stay on. It seems to be a sweet point where the idle speed varies for some reason. When that happens it will idle forever, but finding it...

Even with the idle temp settings, they still tell me that I idle too much. Go figure.

I drive a 2018 International LT. Temperature sensor is behind driver side convex mirror as shown below. Haven’t tried the sock/glove hand warmer trick yet... but I’m gonna. Espar bunk heater are #### and have to get by so I’ll try it out tonight. Posting pic of where I located my sensor at. No clue how to get to it yet.

Apparently science is wrong as the maintenance costs were too high.

Sounds like apu's are going bye bye. Too unreliable.

    I highly doubt that.

An APU for an o/o makes sense.. for a fleet, not so much with the average ROI being 2.5-3 years. Get a lemon unit or a driver that trashes their truck and its a literal money pit in a box.

    Pay attention to the forums.

People complain about breakdowns all the time.
