Probably because the company trip planners thought it the best time to deliver.

As far as staying there, the last company I worked for, you did not leave where you dropped until you had a load.

They can fire me for it and then explain to a jury why I was expected....mandated...by the company to place myself in harm's way when I sue for wrongful termination.

That's just stupid. Get your business done and get out.

They changed rules almost weekly. I was only there a couple of months while the economy was unstable.

Would not be a company I would suggest anyone consider.

I just delivered to the town bordering Compton. Rancho Dominguez, but it was a nice looking place. We were 8 hours early, KLLM had a yard relatively nearby and we stayed there so we did not have to find out if the neighbors "visited".

Also got a new trip moments after unloading.

Or just stay at your drop site or call and ask for police escort, they'll lead you out of there if you ask...

I have NEVER told anyone not to carry a weapon. What I have said is most do not know the deadly force behind the firearm and there' will
tons of paperwork ork and most likely you'll be fired. There's other ways to avoid situations and it's worked very well for me. Besides, I don't want sparks around gasoline unloading so I would use another method.

On my OP I statrted there's alot of rules and laws you must know to travel unrestricted. If you violate one of the many laws is it really worth it?There's a lot of hours you'll need to put into to know what the laws are for every road and town you travel throught. If it means that much to you then by all means go for it. But what about the guy that only does it enough to think he's knows all there is? He does it half-### and shots sombody that was just lookink at his truck? My money say's he'll do so type of time. Just know what you're doing.

right now i dont carry anywhere illegally,i also dont carry at work, and im very familiar with the laws on carrying everywhere i go...i know when i am and when im not justified to shoot

not everybody is like this, some people who carry dont care enough to know the laws, and i cant really blame them, since there shouldnt be gun control laws in the first place

the bottom line to me is its about personal safety, getting arrested is just a risk you take if you choose to carry illegally...hopefully i will never have to
