A little can of pepper spray in hand will help. Just make sure it's the stream and not the spray or you could end up having a REALLY bad night!:O_o_1PIRATES25:

Answer with the flashlight. You can see them, but they can't see you... and ####roaches prefer the dark.

And as has been mentioned, have a look at the places you're parking. In the past three years, I think I've had my door knocked on twice... or was it once?

Then again, it could have been more often, but after I put the earplugs in I'm off to la la land until the internal clock says it is time to go. :biggrin_25523:

It's part of trucking. Knocks on the door, hookers/lumpers/beggars/fellow drivers from your company/Cops/wheel polishers/hitchikers/dock personnel/mechanics whatever.

So, you verbally assaulted him and he responded by brandishing a tire thumper and he back off when you brandished prepper spray and you think you won. Did you give up the parking spot?

Pepper srpay is the anti-gunners solution for self-defense. Pepper spray should only be used on animals. I have seen the use fo pepper spray only anger the perp and cause an even worse outcome for the victimn.

My post wasn't to try busting your balls. It was aimed in general at anyone reading this thread, and the point was not to discourage anyone from packing heat - on the contrary, I'm all for it. However, people need to understand that with it comes a series of responsibilities and complications. I would like for the populace to be able to defend themselves. I don't want to see anyone go to jail because they didn't fully understand the law in a situation where they had to resort to drastic measures to defend themselves.

    This post is utter crap.

After he pulled into the spot, with only inches to spare (as I was backing into it at the time), I called him on the radio. He replied with a string of words that'll be censored out if I type them on here. My first words to him were, "Hey, Bowman....". Not particularly provocative, I wouldn't think, after which he's the one who began the verbal assault. So don't think you're going to make me feel guilty for replying in kind.
I parked my truck, and, as I got out, I saw him approaching me with a tire thumper. I warned him to back off, and he did not. So I sprayed him, and grabbed my cheater bar in case he came back at me. He didn't. So, yes, I did win. Aside from a little stinging in the eyes, nobody was hurt, and it didn't result into a situation where someone ended up killed or seriously hurt. If you're one of these dolts who figures, "well, somebody ##### with me, I'll shoot first and ask questions later, and that'll be that", then enjoy being Tiny's little boy toy in the state pen, because instances of lethal force being used in defense are not as simple as that.
As for the "anti-gunners" comment, if you're trying to imply I'm one of them, it is simply absurd. I do not, have not, and never will endorse pepper spray as a substitute for a more capable means of self defense. I endorse it as an intermediate means for situations which calls for defensive action, but not to an extreme where you need to shoot somebody. If you had actually read my post, you would've caught onto this.

So, you sprayed him and grabbed your cheater bar. What if he did not back down? You could have just pissed him off even worse. You are LUCKY he backed down. I was not there to wager who would have lost that fight, but I'll assume it could have been either one of you. I have to ask, don't you think it would have been much more prudent to lift your shirt or print when you told him to back off.

Do you realize that alot self defense situations never require the firearm to be discharged.

Also P.J., don't park with your parking lights on unless there's a safety hazard. This was an advertisement from the old days that you were "receptive". Park under the lights and stay off the back row if possible.
