Video gaming is a 70 billion dollar industry. You can play games professionally now and make a hell of a lot of money.

Thats only the start of their career. Most pro gamers make most of their money after they have retired and made a name for themselves through private ventures. Faker was dethroned last year after losing the League of Legends championship to Samsung Gaming. Hes so well known it doesn't matter he can pretty much do what he wants.

Pro gaming is still in its infancy and expected to dwarf in size and revenue from its already monstrous 70 billion.

League of Legends supposedly has the market cornered at about 93% of the exports market. That might soon change due to the game losing players after being the top dog for 8 years.

Fortnite might be the new game to replace it, it's the most popular game currently and might see some pro play. I am sure if the game will stick or if its just a fad. Pubg rose and fell hard due to money mismanagement, failure to improve game play, and pushing micro transactions to heavily. Time will tell how Fortnite will fare in comparison.
