how long to get HAZMAT results back?

Got mine within ten days of passing the test and getting finger printed.

 

I got my finger prints done Feb 11th. I got the "you're not a terror threat" letter on Tuesday the 25th. Not having this will not keep you from getting a CDL, just from getting the Hazmat endorsement.. some places you can even take the endorsement test, but cannot get it on your license until you receive the letter from the feds.

 

The ILL DMV lady said I have to get the clearance 1st then I can take the test. It saves you 5 dollars to wait to be able to take the test vs getting license now.

 

I had taken the hazmat test on Feb. 5th, headed down to the state police to be fingerprinted on the 6th and Penndot received the approval from the F.B.I on Feb. 21. When I was getting my finger prints taken I ask the state trooper how long it usually takes to get results back. He said about two weeks. He was dead on. Hope this helps.

 

It will vary by state depending on their system. In 2008 it came back the same day. In November of 12 it took 13 days but my medical self certification was that day. I'm in Pennsylvania.

Also should mention in was in the states computer system so I could renew a few days before I got the letter. I cut it a little closer than I should have because it was so fast 4 years earlier.

 

I'm currently studying for my hazmat renew.I'm waiting to take the test till I can renew my DL.That expires as well in April.I would have got all that done today since I had the day off but it'll be another week before I can do that.Have to wait 30 days before and 60 days after is how long I have.Think its like a couple weeks to get endorsement.Im going to ask the cop shop when I get finger printed.
