    I don't want to explain why I didn't notice the hub seal that's leaking on the inside of the rim, or a cracked something or other... I don't want to be asked about it years down the road either.

    What is a pretrip? Never heard of such a thing...sounds kind of important though.

    In the am I check

    -lights
    -tire pressure
    -5th wheel

    In the PM I check for
    -flat tires
    -fluid leaks
    -anything falling off or loose

    I must be lazy, you mean every day I have to remove the side skirts and check for corrosion on the batteries?

    I do my pretrip everynite when I check the girlfriend for leaks....:)

    Both of my steer tires that were leaking form punctures were found
    1. At the fuel island when I was checking tires
    2. On a post trip

    It woulda been real bad had I not inspected the tirez

    When i pulled dry vans....dropnhook..iiiiiii was always that driver that got to spend my time at TAs getting new tires.....grr

    Yea but when the hooker knocks on my door at 2 am aren't they by law supposed to tell me if I have a flat tire ?

    I don't know, but I have been next to the guy who decide to do his air governor cut off and low pressure test at 3 a.m.. Nothing is better than hearing him pump the #### out of his brakes while you're sleeping, let the pressure build, and then do it again.

    When I see someone doing a full blown inspection of their truck at a truck stop, I usually think they are fresh out of driving school.
