Well yeah but it doesn’t matter whenever guys point me to the women’s…. Leaves me in quite a predicament.. you know? I dunno how many gender neutral things i can find otr but i would be working on changing the gender on my license after the first month or so as soon as i can throw money at it.
How much #### am I going to get for being visibly lgbt in this field?

There are no gender neutral bathrooms at truck stops. No one will care what make believe gender you think you are. If you’re a woman at birth then use the woman’s restroom. Don’t expect the world to make you feel comfortable.

I have three drivers past and present who are "trans".
They took/take a lot of crap from everyone - from other drivers to customers.
They all know it isn't about them personally but the entire "you have to accept me or else" BS. I won't get into the politics but it has gone overboard to the point people are frustrated with all of it and tend to be ***** holes about things.
What I have told them and I will tell you be as professional as you can, don't ****** around with the stupid crap - like parking in the fuel isle, dumping garbage and piss bottles everywhere or as one said "never dress up as if you are going out on the town". Keep things to yourself, and enjoy the work.
If someone gets into your face, be happy, don't engage, and be better than they are.
I don't give a crap what/who/why you are, I care about your performance as a driver, the safer you are, the better you are going to be wanted in this industry. I am very old school but my personal beliefs are not involved in my business, as it should be with most owners.classic_150, Albertaflatbed, Numb and 9 others Thank this. -
I’ve been around lgbtq in this industry no problem at all. I’ve been around lgbtq in regular life and no problem at all. Only issue I have seen is when the lgbtq person must let everyone know and if they don’t get 100% positive feedback THEY have the issue. Are you the type that must inform everyone of your life choice and must get the response you want ?Sons Hero, Opus and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
