A word of caution...the cigarette lighter type plugs in your truck are not created equal. It used to be that the one that was actually meant for the lighter was able to handle the heavier electric loads, the others not so much. I know that when I use my "lunchbox oven" I must plug it in to the plug that is on the dash. If I plug it into one of the auxilliary plugs the fuse blows.

Back to the original topic heres how much I made this week, pay period starts on friday and ends on thursday night. keep in mind that I usually will not run more than 350 miles in one day. And some of these are 2 trips in one day. It started on 5/31 and its up till 6/4 if I didn't have to take a reset started last night at 19:00 I'd probably make another 200 on top of whats showing.

not sure if you said it somewhere and I missed it, are you dedicated Rick or just get lucky to keep busy with local runs?

I'm pretty much costco dedicated. I only run Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

thats cool, how long did you work for Swift before they offered a dedicated to you? Eventually I would like to get a dedicated or something more local so I am with my family at least a day a week. I was told you have to work for the company for at least 6 months normally before getting any opportunities but I have heard others have gotten lucky.

Not to get your hopes up but its just they heavy haul division. I'm not dedicated to a specific costco, I just go wherever they send me. They have heavy haul mentors too, which they happened to stick me with. I like it so when I finished my mentorship I stayed in it. Here is where i've been since i've been solo.

Keep on top of what dedicated fleets run in your area. They are not really offered to you, you have to ask, often. Get to know the DLs that run the fleets and make yourself available to them. You could get some surge runs (when they don't have enough trucks to cover runs). When I was running regional after my sort of dedicated fleet broke up, I ran a lot of Kohls and Sears appliance which were overseen by 2 of my previous DMs. I rarely sat long with nothing to do.
