Here’s a list on how you will know if you are ready.

    1. Can you mount three GPS to a truck windshield?
    2. Can you stare blankly when asked what axle weights should be?
    3. Can you wear a bluetooth all the time, even out of the truck?
    4. Do you throw piss bottles away, or just dump them on the ground?
    5. Do you pull into parking spots head first?
    6. Is an Arby’s combo worth blocking the fuel island for 20 mins?
    7. Do you hate using a CB radio with a passion?
    8. Are wifebeaters and sweatpants perfect attire at a receiver?
    9. Do you detest doing pretrips?

If you answered yes to all these questions, then you will blend in nicely. In all seriousness, if your mentor thinks you are ready, get out here. Tell the dispatcher to use leniency at first sending you on loads with acceptable pick up and delivery times. Experience is always the best teacher. Good Luck.

I sense a lack of self confidence or maybe low self-esteem from the OP.

How did you ever make it this far as a student?
