    Wow.
I would certainly be banned from this forum for all time if I stated my true opinion on this post.

But, I am trying to be good by not insulting anyone.

The offer is very tempting but it is not one that the company is suggesting or pressuring me into. Insults are not appropriate because I am only stating first hand what is possible financially if one is willing to teach/mentor/train.

Only that the offer is there and waiting for me at Swift or any of the megas I assume.

Lease with zero down no credit check.. Mentor/train.. At or close to six figures in your pocket achievable.. Even if you are only 21.5 years old with six months experience. When I say insane money considering the minimal investment and education requirements is it an exaggeration?

It's crazy but that's how desperate companies are to churn out new drivers. Am I a fool not to mentor and also I know the lease in combination would put another 20-30k in my pocket on top of mentoring. Nothing special about me. Anyone with six months of xperience and a couple of hours to spare online training to be a mentor can do it. Yep. No on site training required! Hahaha

So, what is holding you back from going for this insane money?
It sounds like a deal from heaven.

There's only room enough for one smelly bald arrogant dude in this truck. Plus I don't like people for the most part. Just saying though mentoring is a way to make more money to address the question asked by the OP. Peace and love.

So you are with CRE? I'm sorry.

Swift has a handful of locations where they do mentor orientation. None of them are remotely close to where you indicate you are going to heaven.

How to make more money other than experience? Luck maybe? I don't know. There is no quick way to make money with a CDL other than to get experience. Many people will say, "You can make money doing this or that" in reality, most sure fire way to make money is to get out here and run a lot of miles

I'm grinding out at least a year pulling dry van for a mega and maybe even 2 years then I'll look at maybe learning bulk or flatbed.

I'm averaging over $800 per week doing OTR and living in the truck which is #### good money since I view it as being paid to learn.

If I stay in trucking the two years experience (especially with no incidents) will eventually be worth way more than what I'm earning for the 1 to 2 years.

Nope. Swift mentor orientation is 100% online now and for at least the past year.

Well that's new. Hopefully they start incorporating training HOW to teach.

I've watched this forum without registering until I read this post. I am 55 and have been trucking for awhile, now primarily oversized heavy loads. At 6 months you have no business teaching anyone anything, I hope you really think about where you are at experience wise before you start trying to tell a new driver anything. Could care less if I get banned from this site, just hope I don't meet you and your trainer in the Rogers Pass in a snow storm. Stay safe.
