the head is sipmle just remove fan 9/19=6 bolts 6 of them then the head has 6 holes you can fit 5/16 allen socket to remove the bolts and it comes off you have to apply air to get the holes to math up if they don't initially line up remove head on small plastic bushing in between comes with the new one replace that and reassemble
for the whole hub you have 4 18 mill or maybe 2 18 and 2 19 holding it by the end just remove those and air line you might have to remove alternator if not enough room
Well its not leaking air. Its locking just fine. But other day i decide to stop fan by my hand yeah its stupid but i did make sure ac wasnt on. So i stopped fan and there is movement up and down. So i guess maybe bearings are going bad. There is no play once fan is locked, i checked when engine is not running. My original fan clutch went bad at 700k. This replacement have 960k.
No it will lock when ac is on or when engine temp gets high. I tried catch fan while engine was running in free spin mode. There is some play up and down. But soon it locks its all good. No play. I check play when engine is off and fan was locked and no play. Question is does this fan should have this play while in free spin. I bet nobody check this free play
ive seen that play most of the time but if they have noticable play i just replace them better be safe than sorry beats replacing radiator and everything else once it goes to #### plus towing it's not worth the money just replace it and be done with it
I just took short video with my phone. There is about 1/4 play at edge of fan. Ill post video on youtube once i get wifi
I replaced fan clutch and hub yesterday. Looks like even new clutch have play when not locked. Oh well, its new now
