40 hour better jump on that. I have 3 years OTR but been several years though currently drive in Alaska and they dont consider my time here which is dumb. I have to do 20k miles which is over a month Teaming but they pay 700 minimum a week so better than nothing I guess during that time or .14cpm for Team Miles

No need. I got accepted to attend orientation with Maverick. I got my CDL in 2010 and never used it.

Best place to look is local. You might be able to get on with a company as a B driver and work your way back into an A truck. Or you might find you prefer a B truck.

here in lies a problem. in some states IF a driver let's his DOT medical expire, then the license is NO GOOD, and they MUST do everything all over again. (as this could hold true if he let his CDL expire)

in MY state, and a few others, if the DOT medical expires, our CDL is down graded to an operators license, essentially a car driver's license UNTIL we go and get a new DOT med card, and take that to the DMV as proof, then our CDL privileges are good to go again.

so once the o/p tells us exactly where he stands with both his CDl expiration date, and DOT med card date, all we can go by right now, is what he has told us.

ok, but what is the DMV saying there in FL, regarding an expired DOT card? just get a new one and you are good to go? or do every thing all over again?

and $80 is a good price.

You are going to make twice as much as you did as a police officer driving a truck? You were working in the wrong state/area then. Where i grew up in wildwood NJ i know cops i went to high school with that are making close to 90k and the one guy brags about retiring at age 48. The crime at the jersey shore is nothing like cities and they get paid to look at hot babes in bikinis patrolling the beaches and boardwalk. Can't beat that job.
