I see that NYC mayor Bloomburg finally ordered an evacuation. Seemed as though he did it with some prodding by the governor. Bloomburg's a real jacka**.

I drive the north east region and am feeling uncomfortable with this storm coming. Anyone declining loads and staying home til this passes?

NJ has survived a lot worse than Sandy. So, I wouldn't rip the pages out of your RM atlas just yet....

It would be nice to never see "NJ" anywhere in a pre-assignment again... :biggrin_25515:

Those in the NYC area should stock up on Extra-Large Non-Diet sodas...might be tough to get 'em in a day or so.....

You DO what YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH--don't let anyone else dictate--besides many of the places up here are going to be difficult if not impossible to get to:
Take that for what it is worth!

I remember back when one of the late 90s hurricanes came through....I was working for a small outfit that had dispatched me to pick up a load in the VA Beach area. Yeah, right, I said, but they insisted I go.

Fortunately, I called the shipper and got no answer. They were closed, just like most of the rest of the area.

    Your call. Bottom line.
