Pride is the owned by the son or brother of CR England. Pride was created because of office and family politics. My understanding is, there is still a huge rift between those family members.

Just because trucking companies are based in or have big offices in the same town, doesn't mean they are associated.

The only link between Swift and CRE is that Carl Moyes had driven for CRE before starting his own company, which was originally called Common Market. That's where the connection ends. Knight Transportation, on the other hand, was co-founded by a guy who had been a major partner in Swift during the earlier years.

How is that CRE is misguided and not driver friendly, but every time I pass one of their trucks I see a colored band on the trailer which means its loaded. I see quite a few of their trucks on the roads ( pa turnpike) daily. Do they have that big of a freight base?

they take cheap frieght and the drivers pay for it. A colored seal don't mean loaded. I had to seal when empty to ensure no let's say free hauls. Yea that stopped me from hailing loads, CRE didnt book.

Jay England is the President of Pride Transport. I applied there when I bought my truck and wanted to transfer over. When I talked to the recruiter they were not hiring O/Os anymore, strictly company drivers. I started to complain about England and she stopped me since she said there is a lot of England family that works there.

One of my old students who leased applied there and they hired him. He moved all his stuff from his CRE leased truck into a Pride company truck. After that he went to the CRE yard and turned in his truck. Someone from Pride actually picked him up and took him back to the Pride yard.

And Swift paid for my train ticket from Springfield, MO (Prime) to the main Phoenix yard, even made a special trip to the bus station (Amtrak does not go through Phoenix) to pick me up on a holiday. The week previous to that, my Prime bobtail was parked among all of Swift's "For Lease" trucks right in front of the main Admin building while I attended business in the Leasing department. I can assure you Ms. Vera (Prime Matriarch) and Jerry Moyes are not sleeping together.

I'm coming into this late but what about Swift? Or Knight? I have no idea or opinion but it's a suggestion. Thank the Lord I got my experience 'WAY BACK' and this hoop jumping that companies make a person go thru isn't hardly worth it but that's not a fair statement either.

    Best of Luck!

CRE moves a LOT of freight. We ran through christmas and new years with barely enough time to make it to each drop.

    I am the OP btw
