I have been in the industry as a driver, O/O for over 28 years and now work inside the office for the last 4 1/2 years. Best advise I can give you is to learn from this mistake and move on. It happens to everyone no matter who they are or who they driver for. Just pay closer attention to what you are doing in the future because this could have been a lot worse.

If there is no citation then there is no accident, period.
.. just like that law thing that says some one has to go to jail.

It didn't happen to me. I'm not saying I was a super trucker just lucky. Sure there were times I could have been in hot water but years ago the companies were more lenient then they are now. I think I would hire a lawyer to protect my record. You may not save your job but it's worth a shot to let the lawyer get a reduction on your charges.

Your first mistake was posting this on an open forum, now you admitted to your guilt, you are opened to a poor defense if you ever get into court.

I would just pay the ticket, move on.
