I just couldn't stomach another petro plate of food. I needed some vegetables that didn't look like they boiled the color out.

Chinese place next to the Thai restaurant.

But you know... they are NOT a regular carrier... not like any other carrier... They don't depend on their broker loads exclusively... :biggrin_25512:

That has changed... I have been keeping them updated on my hrs and they have been sending me preplans more often... :biggrin_25519:
The long deadheads are not broker loads... but company loads which is a different thing and it doesn't cost them... so they can afford long deadheads...

It wasn't "them"... it was Mr. maintenance boss 2 yrs ago who told me that... :biggrin_25510: but I found out that ALL drivers in the company do slide the 5th wheel... And from now on, I will be doing the same in this company... :yes2557:

Yes.. considering all the "goods" and "bads", this company seems to be the best choice for now... :biggrin_25519:
They have been in business for over 20 yrs... and driver turnout is close to zero...

Hey, I was able to get the 5th wheel unstuck today... :biggrin_25519: it needed some good rocking back and forth... :yes2557:
Will let dispatcher responsible for the lost load know about what happened... she wasn't in the office last Thursday when that happened.. And from now on I will be moving that 5th wheel as needed like all other drivers do in this company.

"Yeah man, when we got into trucking, we totally misunderstood what "deadhead" meant, man."

Who knows... this is a load I pulled for this company over 2 yrs ago... First scale came like this...

Called Mr. Maintenance boss and he told me not to "mess" with the 5th wheel... So, I went back to shipper and they were able to rearrange the load...
Went back to scale and got this...

Slid the tandems and got this...

Which was acceptable because I relied on the 400 lbs exemption rule... :biggrin_25519:

In my former company, my steers were slightly above 12000 and never had any problem with DOT... :biggrin_25512:

Was cruising home today and decided to turn my phone into a dash cam to see if I could record anything cool.

Nothing happened but it does show I drive like I'm in an episode of Worlds Wildest Police Chases sans the annoying commentary. :p

That exemption is not worth the paper it's printed on in California.
