For the record, the gentleman on the bill is Jose Maria Morelos, a Catholic priest and revolutionary war hero. He was defrocked and executed by the Spanish government but the damage had already been done.

That's exactly what happens to me. My man doesn't understand. And cranks up the a/C every day. Even at night he doesn't turn the bunk heater up very much. But he sleeps in a nice Coleman sleeping bag! I just have blankets. :-/

There are other reasons, but that's the primary one. But you're right to link menopause with that, because during menopause a woman's testosterone increases. The irony is that the body will eventually restabilize itself and you'll go back to being cold again.

    If you're interested...

One thing you might try to increase your cold tolerance is to increase the level of "brown fat" in your body. (Different than white fat, which is what most of the US has and puts us at a great risk for heart failure, and other health risks.)

You're likely exercising, eating lots of fruits/veggies and the like...and generally being healthy, but decreasing (slowly) the temperature in your truck helps too. Basically, anything that'll force your body into overdrive to keep you warm will cause your body to increase the levels of brown fat so it doesn't have to work as hard.

The only other thing I can think of...take melatonin. It doesn't actually increase the levels of brown fat, but it does increase something similar called beige fat which has a similar function as brown fat. (I'm not making this stuff up...I swear.)

...do what my better half does... She gets even.

When we first started dating I was very prone to waking in the middle of the night and turning the thermostat way down... (60's or so.) ...I would wake back up an hour or so later and be freezing.

I'm still not sure where she hid all the blankets...but the ones that were on the bed when i went to sleep were now tightly wrapped around her.

We have, thankfully, since found a working compromise.

That's ex husband / boyfriend humor lol

The attorney protects you from the ex's greedy fingers

The dog loves you no matter what and will never leave you or cheat on you

    It's a win win.
