Wow you all been busy, that was like 11 pages of reading....
Well quick notes-
Took off from left coast. Made it to AZ (temp 118°) a/c compressor barfed all over motor.
So I ran like a hot box prisoner to Kansas drop.
Grabbed anything I could find to pay fuel to get back to a mechanic I know. Truck was down for. 3 days.
Went to Oregon Country Fair ( yes you can Google this to get a better view). Wink wink
Spent. Week working at fair with friends, yes the girls are topless with body paint and smiles.
Came back to truck ready to work and clutch is dead in Pete. Now I didn't drive it. So how does a clutch go bad without driving.
So now just vegging on truck repair. Hopefully be up and running by wed.
Miss ya all
Thanks for the call @RocksLast edited: Jul 18, 2015

Doh. while not quite cranky's definition of poor trip planning lol.......guess we'll call it poor trip planning.....or not paying attention trip planning. so much for the long weekend
dispatch calls this morning just to get in idea of my eta to Knoxville since the relay driver has a wide open window and wants an idea of when to leave the house......suddenly struck me that the 19th is tomorrow not Monday so I leave tomorrow instead of Monday.......and SHE had her dates wrong too because her original reason for calling was to ask me when I was going to be there today lol had one of those oh #### moments then we realized we were both wrong and had a good laugh about it and got a plan worked out so he'll know when to expect me tomorrow and neither of us waste any of our clock tomorrow. don't know why I thought I'd get a whole weekend. even during the slow months they're pretty good on planning around that 34.
update on that bike/truck wreck the wife posted yesterday since there was so much speculation going on....... mechanical on one of the bikes and that's why they were on the side of the road. driver of the truck fell asleep. only stopped a mile down the road due to flat tires from the impact. charges will be felony hit and run and death by vehicle.Rocks, tsavory, HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and 4 others Thank this. -

Pulled the knob here for a 30 minute break!!
north of Newton Kansas to get some cash for the toll road and their great cheap pizza. Had to make an emergency I've been eating to much salad stop at a rest area. Was hoping I could make it here, but the rumble was to unpredictable.
Will have to make this a straight shot to Arlington once I get rolling. Not much wiggle room.
If the Good Lord wills!! I'll be back!! Yee hawwRocks and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -
