Here's a video about Fastenal. This company hires new cdl grads and I remember one in Jacksonville was hired and really liked working there. He did local for a year or so and got tired of that so went with an OTR position with Fastenal.

How Does 3PL Store to Store Shipping Work at Fastenal?

That's your opinion. Living in a dirty truck a dozen other dirty, fat, hairy, mouth breathers lived in prior to you. No thanks.

Being away from home for weeks at a time to scrape together a couple nickels. No thanks.

Open highway. Where's the challenge in that?

There are no hard rules on this topic. Once you get that CDL and want to work local hit the streets and apply apply apply. I am 100% positive if you try hard enough you will find a good fit!

Man up? Maybe you don’t know peoples situations and what not that maybe OTR isn’t an option for them so before you tell someone to man up maybe you should shut up.

No you do not have to go otr. Otr is for people that enjoy being otr. Either that, or they can’t stand their wife or home life

Gotcha OTR is for Real Men,Suckers.

I think it depends on you. I have never done OTR but I might give it a try.

Otr is only a bad gig if you don’t want to be otr. Most of my driving career I worked local. Made decent money too. Especially after I gained experience.

Back in September I went Otr. I’m putting nine hundred to a grand a week in savings now. I could put away more if I tried. But I like to eat out too much.

Try doing that if your paying for the house, car, electric blah blah blah.

I have every intention of retiring at age 45 or sooner. Can’t do that if I work local.
