Hey, good deal, I'm sure that's a relief. Your head is probably spinning as to what to do next, Chinatown can be overwhelming, but heed his advice, and you can't go wrong. I wish you a slew of safe miles.

If you wait/search for a "starter" carrier that has only perfect conditions and absolutely no negative reviews anywhere -- you will NEVER make the transition from student to driver -- & your first trucking job.

Especially in the current job market.

    And especially in southern Florida.

Especially since you don't know what perfect conditions are. Your expectations may be very different from the reality - both about the work, and about how you handle the work. And anonymous internet reviews, including anything you read here, are completely worthless. You don't know how honest or reliable the reviewer is, or what parts of the story they omitted. You seem to require certainty that simply doesn't exist. At some point, which you probably passed a while ago, you just need to get out there and go for it. That's when you'll be able to start learning what the job is about.

I’ve spoke well about cypress, but if inward cameras are a deal breaker then so be it, I just dealt with it, don’t do dumb S and they leave you alone. I agree though, how do you know what’s good when youve not worked in the industry?

You're right, the thing is, most of the bad reviews I see on here are ( seems ) genius and honest things that I would want or look for, in this industry. I guess even those, the reviewer can be lying or isn't telling the whole truth because this is the internet after all, thanks, I'll take that into consideration.

Yeah, the cab is pretty much our second home, we know it and companies know that too, I have no problem with out-ward but why in-ward facing cameras? I'd rather not have to think twice about picking my nose because there's a camera 24/7 on my freaking face, that's an invasion of privacy in my book and you guys know already how much I like my privacy and my space. That's what I will not do team unless I ABSOLUTELY have too!! So, these two things are an automatic deal-breaker for me.

I get what you're saying, it's just a little hard to transition from the tech industry to this industry where reviews don't really matter much, I've made a list of things I will ask the companies when I call them, and based on that, I'll make my final decision regardless of what the reviews says...
