Actually this is a fear of mine - Klingon is in school now and is headed to Fontana to start training Jan 3rd. I won't start my schooling for a month or so - then the question is raised - 'what IF I don't make it'?? (for what ever reason) We have talked about it - and he would stay solo - and I would try again - and again if need be. If its not something I can retest for - then he would put in his 1-2 years and work on getting something closer. Yeah - it would SUCK but we would work with what we are given. Good luck to you guys and don't give up!!

we are flat broke Hope your not thinking starting out in trucking is going to correct that ASAP. Freight is going into its yearly winter slump , companies will be cutting miles and hiring as well.

" 6 Months Vacation Twice a year and a new Truck
Now that sounds like, everything is paid for, and no one is going to tell you how or when to drive. I see the amount of years driving. What you accomplished in all these years, is a lot of hard work. All the newbies, should try and follow in your steps. But I`ll guarantee, you did NOT pull cheap freight.

His chances of a local job right now are slim and none, IMO.

Way too many experienced drivers are out of work.
