I have not yet switched jobs. While I believe that switching to tanker will be better than dry van, my reasons for wanting to leave trucking run deeper than just the type of trailer I'm pulling.

I went and took a urine test for a job I knew I wasn’t likely to take. But I had scheduled it already before another job interview… took the job I have now. Didn’t do it as a way not to have on DAC… just did it as a back up if I wasn’t offered the job I really wanted…
To me it’s just another way for companies to punish drivers that waste their time and money recruiting…

I checked my dac report on hire right and there is not much on there as far as my work history, driving report ,but I keep getting turned down for jobs.where else can I check for my dac report to see what's on it.

    @jay_luv --

    • How much CDL experience do you already have
    • What CDL endorsements (if any) do you have
    • how clean is your driving record (accidents, incidents)
    • how clean is your criminal history
    • how old are you
    • where do you live (what is your zip code)
    • what type(s) of freight are you after

Instead of DAC -- some carriers use another, similar system called "DriverIQ".

Schneider uses DriverIQ. If you drove for 20+ years for Schneider, that's why your driving record was/is ghosted.

    Driver IQ main website homepage

What part of Alabama? Mobile? B'ham? H'ville? Decatur?

No one here will kick your front door in, if we know only approx where you reside.

    Honest.

Birmingham, I have had many driving jobs in my 20 plus years of driving. Never worked for Schneider.

If we know where you generally are (B'ham)....and what kind of work you are looking for (tanker, flatbed, etc)....others here on the Forum can chime in an offer some suggestions that you may not have considered -- or may not have been aware of.

BTW: roughly how many jobs have you had in your 20+ years?

Are you currently driving/working -- or looking for work, instead?

I had an accident in 2020 that maybe the
    Reason I can't find work.

The CDL job market right now is pretty tight.

Most carriers are being noticeably more picky.

And yeah -- you might wait until that accident is over 3 years old.
