Try as many as possible and choose the best company that fits your needs after the pre-hires start rolling in. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Call each one of them up too. I would of never gotten a job where I work if I hadn't called myself. I thought they weren't interested because they didn't call back like a lot of the big companies do after applying. I called two months later and after 10 minutes on the phone I had a free plane ticket heading to orientation.

Keep applying and if possible (for local stuff) give them a visit don't rely on a phone call some of those receptionist don't even know whats going on. They may tell you anything to get off the phone and back to their game online.

If you are willing to do some local delivery or local yard work, look around at the local food distributers. Soda, beer, milk might be some hard work but if you can put up with it for 6 months or a year, the pay isnt bad and they will usually hire people with less work experience than some OTR companies. if you are really lucky, they might just need you to shuttle trailers around the yard, which would take out the labor part.
