I think Swift is garnishing my paycheck making me pay for a tow.

Pretty standard for drivers to pay for lock outs and tow fees..

Swift has a dedicated account with Walmart in my area that I run on and we normally are allowed to park at any Walmart even when other trucks can't. The difference being, this time the store was closed on Thanksgiving and I didn't have a Walmart trailer attached to me. It is a perk of working the account. No, I did not personally ask the manager of the store.

I don't ask Swift where I leave my truck ever. That is left to the driver to decide, so no.

I'm still trying to figure out why Taylor would do this to you.

Ok, that changes everything then. You shouldn't have to pay a single dime for anything related to the impoundment. I'm glad they are doing the right thing ultimately but they shouldn't have taken your money at all in the first place. Qt least you're getting it back. Hopefully Swift dropping the ball here didn't put you in a financial bind anf they pay you back ASAP.

Should be illegal….. termination should be the company’s position, not making employees pay for mistakes……or bad decisions

That's also a choice, but they will still take the fees out of the last paycheck. This isn't damage that the company has to legally eat.. this was a willful choice, to get THEIR equipment returned the company will pay to get THEIR equipment back, but the driver who caused the problems will and should reimburse the company

I assume this means you run hard for them, DON'T!

Do not kill yourself for any company, protect your CDL and your health. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

    LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
