I was willing to work more than five months out of the year. But I'm not so I've adjusted my spending habits to live well on 60k income.

I'm surprised, Rollin Coal. You're saying arresting drivers stealing fuel is "hassling truck drivers?" I don't think so.

It was a joke. I'm calling BS on any stories involving federal marshalls and truck drivers period.

We would make more money as Owner Operators if we just kept our rates where they belong. It is very hard in a down market to keep you rates up, because too many are thinking they will make it by just saving a little more, running a little more. It is simple keep your margins where they need to be and you will make the money you desire. When just one of us hauls a cheap load then that causes the market to go down for the rest as well.

I would rather bounce to get a better paying load vs pulling a cheaper heavier load that degrades the market.

I must be getting old, Rollin. Like that well known asian mystery, "Spot on the Sheet," by "Mr. Completely." Missed it completely. My bad, I'll try harder to get the mocking in the rarified air of TTR. J

    BTW, I agree completely.

The way trucking works in the so called free market is proof enough for me to see that the market isn't free
