Now the real problem. When you go into a trainer truck with a 10 speed...:biggrin_2556:

Don't see that as a problem to Me.. I can drive a stick shift. Did it for years in the Army before they went to auto-shift tranies. My truck is stick shift, I have only had 2 that wheren't stick shift

I would put CRST lower on the list. Just because of the team driving with a new driver.

Two different kinds of transmissions. You will need some seat time to get the feel for unsynchronized transmissions.

I think you can do it. But, dont mistake a big truck manual tranny for a pick up manual tranny. Just use the search engine at the top of the page and input "problem shifting" and look at the 150 threads that pop up. You Tube has several shifting videos for a very good reason, its like comparing apples to hankerchiefs. But, like I said, you can do it.

I did the same thing. Then got out and got a gig with a KW with a 13 speed pulling a tanker... I found out it is 2 total different worlds. Trannies are a lot different as you will find out...:biggrin_2556:

Army rigs have nothing in common with the civilian sector of trucking...

I know I can do it, That's all that really matters. So I may have to practice some when I first start, But No Biggy..

I think I'll go to a used Truck shop and take one for a test drive.. Plus last weekend I helped out My neighbors friend and He let Me drive His truck and I had no problem with it.. It was a Kittywhopper

I have to wait a month before I can get to CRST. Long story... My son is at CRST so team driving will be with him once I get out of training and they get us together.

I'll probably end up finding a non-driving job local till my month is up. Though it would be nice if I could go back with the CDL in hand.
