Can you be fired and banned from the property? Absolutely. Especially if after being notified an employee gets violent or threatens violence. Can they keep your property? Not forever, but they can ###### sure keep it until they get it out of their property and you go through a process to get it back when they can assure that there will be no problems for themselves. This also reminds me of the several TV court shows where some dude is assuring the court that although they have had no job for the last ten years, their ex room mate stole all their big screen TV's, all of their computers, several tablets, Iphones and the stacks of cash that they had all over the apartment.

Unfortunately, I have seen this happen. If someone EVEN a nondriving employee gets violent OR comes back to start trouble, most of the time they are going to be arrested! I have also seen where drivers have damaged the trucks. In fact, several years ago a driver knowing they were being sent to the home terminal to be fired started a fire in the tractor, then blamed the inverter. Once you get arrested or forcefully removed you might as well say you have forfeited your opportunity to gather your belongings.

I can also make this promise too. If when notified you have been terminated AND later get violent or destructive, most likely you are finished in this business for a while. Regardless of where it comes from, a driver DOES NOT want these words on their employment history "TERMINATED" "DO NOT REHIRE".

One of my cousins that lives in Texas near Houston is in this situation. About 5 or so years ago he was notified by safety he had been fired for a series of HOS rule violations. He proceeded to strike the person that fired him as well as a mechanic! After he got out of the "monkey" county jail he discovered his things had been destroyed, and so far not a single carrier will hire him!

You can take it with you when you retire. You know. For such frivolous things as food and healthcare. Just saying retirement is a thing and only a thing if you have properly saved and invested while you were in your prime.

$25K for a love doll? Seems more high maintenance than some real live women! And some of the trucks we drive for that matter!;)
