You will go through more he'll in a year with CRST than I will in the afterlife.

Alright people let's keep personal beliefs just that...

    Personal.

Everyone has their own opinion on religion and everytime the topic comes up people just get their feelings hurt.
    :violent1:

That is all. Have a nice day.

CRST is pretty low on the list of companies to work for, even just to start out. They treat their drivers poorly, the money is poor, and the miles are poor. The majority of places I see CRST are at stops waiting on loads. Also see them waiting on tire/trailer trucks at shippers/receivers a LOT. One of the guys I went to CDL school with signed on with CRST I can tell you the story he told me.

He got to orientation and they rushed through everything (Every company does really). They paired him up with a person that lived near him (a guy from Haiti that spoke about 6 words of English). They ran a whopping total of 41,000 miles in 6 months as a team operation. In that 6 months his average pay check was about 300$. The truck broke down constantly, his 'teamate' refused to back up. He couldn't make any headway with his dispatcher so he told them he needed to go home for an emergency, quit at home and went to Schneider.

It isn't really a horror story, but if a company is okay with their equipment averaging 1700 miles a week then something is probably wrong (at least in dry van).

No matter what happens tho, I wish you good luck. Don't get discouraged it gets better eventually. Always been on the lookout for something better, you don't owe your company anything aside from a clean driving record and timely service so long as you work for them. You gotta look out for yourself.

"I'm just doing this for the experience, then I'm going to move on"

This isn't directed solely at you sassy, as I see a lot of newbies justify crap companies with that line but what you and others aren't taking into consideration is that not all experience is created equal. You go to a bad company, you're going to get bad experience and learn poor habits. Dont think it'll happen to you? How will you know? You don't have any experience right now to tell good and bad apart. Sure, you'll probably pick up on obvious things if you have half a brain but there's a lot you won't because the guy who's been driving three months longer than you doesn't know either. You can believe whatever you want to but you still want the doctor that went to med school, not the one who took an online course.

If you do go to a less than ideal company, at least stay on here and read and ask questions. You might turn out decent after all.

I'm convinced she's a recruiter at this point. Lol. No one can be this dead set on a crappy company that offers them no real advantages over the other Mega's

I like her attitude if all truckers had her attitude then the roads would be a better place. Some are offering advice but most are being negative. If you hate your life or are going through something rough no need to take it out on people. You should encourage and motivate. She could get her cdl and just go to a different company not that hard. With God all things are possible, within a year she will be making as much as most of you. Go ahead and post how you make 2000 a week home everyday and they take you out for lobster dinners every weekend. The point is she is setting her mind on something and she can accomplish it. I guarantee you if any of you have been deployed over seas the conditions are far worse and you make far less than any trucking company out there and yes we volunteered for it.
