That's the kicker, not everybody can have a positive(relative term) attitude. That's what makes the world go around. Hey, take that frown and turn it upside down!

    You're right.
KLLM in Mississippi would be a good backup plan.

So since everyone ranks CRST low on the totem pole then would you say Swift is better?

I ask just because I hear all that same stuff about 5-6 different starter companies and the only real difference I've seen that is comparable without working for each one is CPM pay and how soon you can go solo.

I haven't done CRST, but I imagine that someone who endears him/herself to the DM will do well at just about any mega. You will get preferred loads and treatment after taking your lumps; 4-6 months of no service failures and few incidents(slight ones are tolerable as long as the service is golden.) The only thing I could see separating any of them is how they handle your maintenance. The 2 megas I did time with both equally mishandled the truck maintenance. I.e. only doing the routine/scheduled PMs and anything else they could fix with no/parts on hand and a screwdriver. Anything that required troubleshooting... forget it, they'll just throw parts at it and rarely get lucky enough to actually fix it.

Only if you do the 90cpm lease!

If forced to choose between the two companies, I'd pick Swift

Whatever you do, never lose the positive attitude. It will serve you well in trucking and in life. Best of luck.

Sassy if I'm not mistaken you picked CRST mostly because they don't require money up front or pay for training correct?

Have you looked into Roehl(sp)? I believe they pay during training as well.

All the positive attitude in the world will not compensate for the fact that CRST has a ####ty CDL school. You will learn next to nothing at NADTA.

From what I have heard most schools are like that and if that's the case then it wouldn't matter where I go.
