In my state a cdl permit is only $7.50 You don't need a physical to get the permit in my state. You should have the permit passed and studied all the material before you go to any school.
Why waste time in a school when its something you can do on your own.
I think you should rethink selling your soul to CRST for such little money.

    God works in mysterious ways
Even through us trashy truck drivers
    Can't say Sassy wasn't warned.
That being said, I wish her success and hope things go well.
    She seems determined.

It is a terrible thing I'm glad you pray because you will.

Teaming is hard crazy hard. And add on that you are a girl.... And "sassy" The guys out here are a riot and the girls are few and far between.

Riding with your boyfriend is a treat... No driving, not tired, no responsibility... Etc. Driving with a stranger.... Not so much!

Get your permit and your physical before you go. What if you uproot your life and you can't pass a physical? Or you struggle with the test and they send you home after a week. It's stressful enough.

There is a lot of companies out there that are better. Good luck!

I wish a lot of other Newbies had this attitude. They get into the truck and then think that they should be coddled and expect to make big bucks right away.

Yes. And we never spoke again
This what your up against I was speaking with a driver who was waiting for his third co. Driver the last one couldn't stay awake while driving nearly killed him.
The guy was on so many meds he had to keep' em in one of those extra large Ziploc bags.
When this guy chewed out Crst about it their response was ," well we don't have to disclose anything about the driver( s) to you"

Sadly it was quite obvious this was not some bs story.

Sassy, I don't think anyone means to be negative.
I'm pretty sure we'd all like to see you succeed.
I just hate to think of a company like crst ruining your career before it starts.
Whatever you encounter at crst is not a model for what trucking really can be for you.
So if it doesn't work out there, just move on and keep on a truckin.

I'm pretty sure every team ain't like that lol. some good some bad. seems like all you see on here are crappy stories about crappy companies. meanwhile there are people out there that don't take a bad apple and think that the whole bushel is rotten. I think it's to each there own. it sucks that driver had to go through that but I'll take my chances. thanks for the tip though

Okay. I just want to say... I AM NOT SELLING MY SOUL TO CRST.. my soul belongs to God. Also, I have stated this before CRST is not a lifelong commitment, it's simply a way for me to get the cdl and experience needed to work for a good company later on down the road. Isn't trucking about looking at the big picture? to pay attention and have an out. CRST is my ticket in the big picture is that no matter what I'm not stuck there. It's only the beginning.
