Ordered IN permits last week Thursday and didn't get them until 2:30 PM Tuesday. They had a significant backlog that they are working through.
What route did you take? High and wide or just one of the two? Is construction really the issue or just tax-paid personnel doing as tax-paid personnel are wont to do? I'm coming in on 74 out of IL, southern beltway to 70 going east and exiting to OH.
I ordered on a Thursday and got it back on Tuesday morning. I was 12’wide coming up I65 out of Kentucky. They made me go 64west to US41 north.... plenty of construction detours for Indiana according to permit service I use...
Dad gum I am glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. here I just phone in or use the net and get them right now. The only thing is I have to pay attention when they bill me, several times over the years they have billed me for some lynden permits. It is some kind of glitch, and just takes a phone call to sort out,
I didnt take the load, so not sure. I was just told by our permit people that it's currently a 72 hour wait for Indiana, keep that in mind if I do take the load.
Last time I went with a 988 it was 5 days - and the route sucked for about 70 miles I was 13 11 wide and I think it was 14 8 tall plus length and weight. That seemed pretty typical for the rare times I get an Indiana permit
@johndeere4020 I wanted to ask without starting a thread. Can I run the turnpike from Indiana to Pennsylvania @13’10 high?? It says 14’ is the limit during non-construction season....
I was legal height and 12'3" wide. Don't know why they got backed up. I ran the same route in reverse from OH to IL.
Only reason I was gonna do it was to save time... out of Illinois it be longer to drop down 74 to Indy then to Ohio to 71 then up to 80. I gotta be in Jersey by noon Saturday
