If you absolutely need it, and it works off regular plugs I'd suggest finding a smaller, but correctly sized for power draw, pure sine wave inverter. If it's under 180 watts, which is likely, then you might find a plug in inverter for a cigarette outlet. If you may, can you post what it says on it for power draw? It should say the amperage at 120V.

Well I don’t absolutely need it but.... We bought one of the inverters for the cigarette lighter that is 175 w. The curler says 120v / 75W. Sooo in theory it should work! Just one of those frrustraing things in life that bugs you until you figure it out!

I assume it does the same thing when you plug it into the Cig inverter?

Wattage is not 120v. That's voltage. The 60 hertz is not as important because other Nations like Russia runs on 50 hertz while the UK runs on 240 volts.

Wattage is the horsepower of being able to do work. If that hair dryer is beefy you need like 3000 watts to feed it. You don't have enough inverter to feed it. You probably already sunk 300 into this one and can expect to replace it with something maybe twice as big to feed the heavy stuff that are thirsty for electricity.

There is also the matter of ampherage. aka Amps. If you require 12 to 15 amps to feed hair dryer, that is a huge amount of electricity.

Im not going to get into the details between volts, watts and amps etc. needless to say the more capacity you have of all three the better you will be able to feed those high power hair dryers.

The most we done with ours is run the Mr Coffee, and that one is a straight up 1500 watt device running on 12 amps at 120 volts. When it's brewing coffee in our Century you can see it pull on the batteries and voltage meter at the drivers seat going down the road.
