Oh yeah I forgot to mention 800+ credit score and no convictions. Top secret security clearance if that helps at all. I did get a underage drinking ticket when I was 19, which was 33 years ago. Lol

If you want to compare driving a manual transmission with computer technology, a better analogy would be requiring someone to be proficient in MS DOS or basic. Times are changing, and old technologies are becoming obsolete. Even in programming, many functions have been automated so you don't need a billion lines of "if this, then that" anymore. The assumption that someone is not a "real" driver since they drive an automatic is baseless. Driving a manual is really not that complicated.

yes. The government "lost" the front door. My entire family was watching live as it happened, we watched them knock down the wall with the tank and then shoot in a flame thrower. When they replayed it the flamethrower had been replaced with smoke. It was a joke because I'm sure even with top secret clearance they wouldn't be telling you about the government's misdoings

    78k would be more reasonable.
    2k a week isn't good for business

I think it’s good pay. On par with what my drivers are making. My base salary is 85,000 though and through extra miles most end up over 100k.

That’s on W2 and worker’s compensation but no other benefits to speak of. Haz and tanker endorsed but dry and reefer only.

    Brand new equipment, home weekends.

It’s still nearly impossible to hire someone with that setup but I suppose where your hiring makes a difference. In my area there are tons of trucking companies and everyone is already employed who wants to be.

One thing I’m curious about is the home time? How often to you expect to get the driver home? Vacation? Paid holidays? I’m at paid holidays starting immediately and it’s $300 per holiday, and vacation pays $1500 per week with 1 week after 6 months and 2 more at 1 year. 3 weeks at 2 yrs.

Congratulations though man. It’s a big step hiring folks. Just make sure you always do a drive test. That’s probably more meaningful then anything. I’ve done enough now that I can usually tell before we even get out of the yard if the person is a real deal or not. Don’t try and force something to work because it never does.

It is hard to understand why you can't get people to work. Is it because too many of those who apply are not qualified for your operations or you don't even get enough applicants?
