It's kind of like the weight loss surgery. The doctors want folks to folks to jump start better habits. They're hoping it can reduce portions and spark better eating choices. It'll do the first, but the folks I know that are on it, still eat sweets, fast food, chips, and a lot of other high calorie foods. It may be in reduced portions, but once they get weaned off if it, here comes the weight gain.
Is anyone using Ozempic to help loose weight?

gluten and wheat intolerance is becoming more common, why? it couldn’t be glyphosate. The epa said it’s safe..
Due to its widespread use, trace amounts of glyphosate residues may be found in various fresh fruits, vegetables, cereals, and other food and beverage commodities. However, these trace amounts are not of concern for the consumer.

Well, due to unforeseen side effects I'm off Ozempic temporarily.
For the 7 weeks I was on it, I had nominal side effects, no worse than any of the other drugs I've been taking, although coming off Jardiance was nice, I didn't have to pee every 90 minutes to 2 hours. I also haven't had the weight loss, however I have noticed that I feel fuller more often and have cut back on my portions, but at the same time I find myself snacking more often.
That said, however, one of the side effects of Ozempic in men is "sexual dysfunction" of multiple sorts. In some men there's decrease in libido, in some men there's an increase in libido, neither of which were my issue, my issue was horrific ED, to the point that even 100 mg of Sildenafil was barely offsetting it after 6 days. The half-life of an Ozempic injection is about 7 to 10 days, I would find that I'd do my shot on Saturday, come Sunday morning the wife and I would fool around, and I couldn't get an erection no matter what. We tried it every day of the week, it wasn't until Friday that things started to work, and even then, I'd taken 4x .25 mg Sildenafil. Doing my research, I emailed my Dr about it, later that day he got back to me and agreed after doing some research on his own, told me to stop taking it until I see him on Jan. 17th. He then emailed me the next day that in men this is the third most common side effect, but from his research typically at .50 ml 50 or 75 mg of Sildenafil was enough to offset. Now, 13 days post injection, things are almost back to normal. I'm working to make some diet changes to help. Via email we discussed me going back on Jardiance, I'd rather have to pee every 90 minutes to 2 hours than not being able to get it up, he said let's wait until January.The_vett, Sirscrapntruckalot and DUNE-T Thank this. -
When he buys flower or pasta, or drinks beer that is made in Europe, he feels perfectly fine next day.
That was great to find out, cause for next holidays my wife won't have to make separate food just for him lolThe_vett and broke down plumber Thank this. -
Thank you to striker for starting this thread and to everyone here telling us about these new weight loss drugs. My friend I wrote about in a earlier post is still losing slowly and has no complaints.
But seeing all the problems here , I am just going to keep trying with less and more healthy eating and stepping up my exercise. I know it isn't easy, but not much worthwhile ever is easy. But to all of you trying it , I hope it works great for you. It is good to get personal accounts of your experience.broke down plumber and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -
I’m taking Rybelsus for my diabetes and I did initially lose about 30 lbs, from appetite loss and some nausea. But the nausea went away after a few weeks and gradually my appetite came back a bit, and I’ve gained back ten pounds.
I’d say, based on my experience, that the drug isn’t a miracle weight loss solution but rather a decent first step. I need to eat more mindfully, eat healthier foods, and I need to up my exercise game if I want to actually be physically fit again.The_vett, striker, austinmike and 1 other person Thank this. -
