Ironically as a company driver you'll probably be more likely to go out there and drive when you shouldn't, because what the hell, it ain't your truck or your problem if some other idiot wrecks into you.

I've shown up in the weather ON A HOLIDAY.... Should have known better.

Really knew better when dispatch gave me the number for the customer... I got ahold of a guy who runs a used car lot and a gun shop.... He wasn't my receiving party. Quite the memorable day in Corry, PA.

Another term for "JIT" is Just In Trouble. JIT gained popularity in the 80's for manufacturing. Keep very low inventory, keep WIP (Work In Progress) at a minimum, and you can improve the bottom line. BUT, you WILL have delivery delays that will shut down your entire operation within hours.

Regarding whether it is common for me to be late, I consider myself late if I don't check in 30 minutes before my appointment.

I give lots a heads up on the Qualcomm. Maybe too many. It is also a way to document events as they happen. It is much more credible that way.

    Reputation is everything!!!

You should never be late for anything if it's your name on it, unless your a steering wheel holder then that means more money for me.

Was late delivering today. I picked up a load of steel I beams in Midlothian Texas headed to warran Michigan on Wednesday. Was loaded by 3pm, at 7pm I was parked up at the pilot on caddo mills Texas out of hours because Dallas traffic sucks. Was going to do an 8 hour split till a Schneider rookie backed into my trailer damaging the rub rail. I was 5 hours into my 8 then waiting for another 2 for the cops to show at my company direction saying they don't do accident reports on private property.

I'm seldom late for pick up our delivery, but this week just send like it's a bust

It is what it is. Some guys on here complaining about the reserved parking programs that pilot/j and ta/petro have, but that's why I use them. It seems to scare off the newer drivers.
