Is it even possible to get a job if someone goes to their own CDL school?

    With a CDL in hand he will have job offers within minutes of applying. I can guarantee that, unless there is more to his criminal and driving history than he has stated. He can still find work, it will just require more effort on his part and it won't be with a well regarded company.

    If you attend a community college CDL school, I will bet dollars to doughnuts that you will have recruiters come to the school looking for you.

    In what way is the contract better if you got your CDL at a private school? Other than not being obligated to that year are there any other perks?

    I went and got my CDL on my own through a college training school and have never had ANY trouble finding decent jobs even with felonies. I wasn’t about to give any company the power to put me under contract to work for them or else basically...

    Yes companies will be all over you to hire on with a CDL. Just make sure you never use drugs and fail a drug test.
