This is why I stay out 7-8 weeks. 3-4 days just isn't enough to get stuff done and have chill time for myself...and I live alone!!.
The benefit to that is the house is exactly the way I left it. No one living there to make a mess or break stuff. The $100-150 I save every month on the electric bill by turning off the AC is the cherry on top.Boondock Thanks this. -

Find some old retired guy looking for some projects to keep busy and make a couple bucks. I have an old guy who mows my lawn for $20 with his tractor & trimmer. If I do it myself it cost me $25 for fuel. It’s pretty simple math.

OP listed woman’s work. Wife restored a century home when I was doing long haul. I did only the electrical and plumbing, she did all the drywall, finishing, refinished all hardwood floors, double hung windows and a wood plank wall…kept her busy during the day while kids were at school.
Guess it depends on spouse,,,mine was no Prima Donnanredfor88, D.Tibbitt, Gearjammin' Penguin and 2 others Thank this. -
