Our Kenworth dealer is top notch. I mean they still expensive and miss things but, not any worse than any others. They always get us right in and try and fight for waranty work as much as they can. We get good pricing on parts and delivered 5 days a week. They are part of a chain called CIT but not all of them are created equal.

I’m the only one that works on MY truck though! International.... I even get my parts through the KW dealer at a better discount than direct through international.

They put all new rubber on my truck when I got it.
200 miles up 17, my passenger side steer almost fell off.
    No BS.
5 loose lug nuts. Probably all loose, but 5 were falling off.

I went to get a cab air bag changed at Freightliner of Arizona for the Criminally Insane, sat at the check in for 2 hours, went inside, some EXTRA CREEPY dude tells me he has 10 minutes left on his lunch.

The KW dealers I've gone to have all been excellent.
That's the plus side to the Cummins as well.

An ISX, is an ISX, is an ISX.

I'll go to Volvo, RUSH, International, anywhere but Freightliner.

I had the starter done at McCoy's Freightliner in Salem Oregon.

    So far so good there.

But I expressed concern clearly to the kid that was the service writer about having the wrench make sure he didn't let the cats out.

Couple hours in, I go to truck to get my phone charger. Door is wide open.

I go " Sir, please, please don't leave that open, I don't want to lose my cats."

He looks at me puzzled and says "What cats?"

They were in their cubbies. I tried to explain to them we'd milked that starter for all it was worth, and the end was immenent.
But they were both like, " You can shove those air tools up your ###."

I once in awhile deliver to Detroit Diesel there on Telegraph. The guys that told me to avoid Detroits were in the bar across the road from the plant. I was waiting for a ride after dropping my truck off next-door at ThermoKing for a Tri-Pac install. I was in there for about an hour, there were some nice guys in there, just got off work. The quality, their words, was no longer there. I heard the same thing from Mr Hagg, down in GA, he in frames these things, and he stated they are not fun. Just looking at some of these Detroits will make your head hurt. Just what I have heard first hand. Cummins I know.

On a side note, I was delivering down in Chillicothe OH to the KW plant, heard the same thing there regarding KW's from an old hand. These new trucks are junk. Just my .02

I don't care what you believe, I'm telling the truth, I was there. The Detroit plant and I still have a copy of that tune. I will send it to you if you want me to. ;-)
