I don't wanna jinx myself. I'll bet I'm in the top .01 %, not 1%, .01% of up / run time of people on this forum, or in this industry for that matter.

    I have an ISX.

You know it's bad when you get a nice gift basket and Christmas card from your mechanic.

Simple answer, yes. As an owner operator, the newer trucks out of warranty will eventually leave you stranded and bankrupt you. The only way to make them reliable in the long run is to take the chance like many many people do. Full deletes. Then you have a decent truck. A lot of times when I ask someone how their truck is treating them, I get “great! It’s deleted”. Just this weekend a fellow told me he is impressed with his deleted paccar.

Most of the time a delete makes things worse off down the rd because of some idiot doing it and not setting the parameters correct

    RERM and Lepton1 Thank this.

Did the basket have cams? Gaskets? Sensors? Harnesses?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I replaced two sensors on my truck.

    $13 each from Kenworth.

    So overwhelming.

And if I can replace them, it's pretty darn easy.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

You made a one sided comment. You basically said it makes things worse when you go to an idiot to do the deletes. Don’t go to idiots to do your delete.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
