is there a source for truckers to find the cheapest motels all over the country?

You only get a reservation online... your card gets charged with a "hold," but the money changes hands at the front desk. Just have your confirmation number from the email you get back with your reservation when you check-in. Also, you may have to wait a couple of days for the whole thing to settle-out on your card- don't be surprised if they hold two or three days worth of motel fees... but eventually only debit your card for what you owe.

I'm sorry, but you are wrong. I have never paid a penny at the front desk. My card is charged online as soon as I accept the deal. I know it is because I get a text message every time anything is charged to that card. Most places ask for a credit card for incidentals...mine has never been charged. I know it has never been charged because I woukd get notified immediately and I also watch statements. Some places don't even ask for the card at the desk. I rarely even use the conf #. I just tell them I booked a room on priceline and my name. Most will ask for a picture ID. You pay priceline...priceline pays for the room.

It is really simple, has huge savings and has worked for me many times. But ###### if I'll ever try to explain it again.

Really? And if you don't show, you're charged for a room you don't use. Stay an extra night, and they don't charge you???

I think you might want to check your statements again.

Already mentioned a couple of times; Corporate Lodging. I have been using them for about 7-8 years; always get a good deal (sometimes an exceptional deal), never a problem. As suggested by the name, it is geared for business use, but really just about anyone can sign up, but you need a credit card to secure the account. They have set rates every week for all the properties they have agreements with, which you can check prior to booking a room (which they will do for you if you wish). You check-in using their card and pay their bill not the hotel. When doing a hotel search there are different parameters that can be selected, including truck parking. I have used them everywhere from major metropolitan areas to some pretty remote locations and have always found at least one property to stay at.

Good point, what if I don't show, or if i was late a few hours for the scheduled room booking? Let's say the time I could have the room is today at 10 a.m but came around midnight which is technically another day? Maybe they'll let me slide?

My truck's sleeper is far better than what any hotel has to offer. You name it, I got it in here besides a shower. I have about six pillows and four blankets so I am nice and cozy. I wouldn't want to spend money on a bed bug infested bed ran by Indians.
