What city are you in JunklinerGuy?

Off the top of my head we have terminals in Dayton, Columbus, Toledo, Cincinnati, Mansfield, Cleveland, Akron and Im sure theres more in eastern Ohio, but I dont usually get east of Mansfield.

    Columbus is a big terminal.

I spoke to a recruiter from Conway and she really turned me off to the company. Not only was it impossible to get her on the phone, I was transferred 6 times even though I have her "direct" extension, but once I did speak with her she was very unhelpful.

She seemed annoyed that I was asking her questions, it was as if I should know everything already. The number one thing that really upset me was when I asked about a drop yard that they recommend in Vegas. Her exact response was "No, the truck and trailer are the the driver's responsibility and not ours. If you can't park your truck in front of your house safely you have to leave it at a truck stop at your own risk."

I thanked her for her time and ended the call right there. I know there are not a lot of companies based here in Vegas but most at least have a yard for their drivers to drop their car at when they are on the road and to leave their truck at when they are home on down time once a month.

And it's not just the fact that there is no yard that turned me off to them, it was her whole attitude about it.

Question for Hamadown about Watkins Shepard. That $500 orientation, was that what they paid you for the 10 days or what you have to pay them? I'll fill out one of their apps and call them on Monday. I may be too far for them being in Vegas. Closest location for them to me is Denver.

Another update, this one on KLLM. Attempted to speak to a recruiter, he asked where I lived, when I told him Nevada he said "We don't hire people from Nevada" and he hung up the phone.

People seem to want to bash a lot of other companies but at least those companies will actually speak to me.

And why would you say that ? We have nothing to do with this..This is current and former employees and their lawyers. Same thing is occurring at Schneider and your "beloved" Swift. All are in, or going to court over free/unpaid time and or miles. Never miss a chance to bash a union do ya ?? If you have any proof, post it...And by the way, a lot of us do get mileage pay (and hourly when the truck stops for any reason), it's just GOOD mileage pay...

I think bulletproof is one of them real UPS drivers and not a UPS Freight donkey like myself. Dude probably makes more than most of the owner operators on here.

Heck harvey junk doesnt bother me, I'm a clean nut. I work in the gas patch and I've worked all my driving jobs playing off road alot. Every truck I've ever been assigned has had a CLEAN interior and atleast washed exterior. I'm talking I clean the inside of my truck daily (no matter how many hours I've worked that day).
