I made 2.11 per odometer mile over the last two years at Landstar pulling step deck, and that is a huge majority of loads originating in or delivering to FL. To give you an idea of how bad a deal yours is, I was leased to Carlisle Carrier in PA from 2001-2003 and all we ran was the Northeast. I averaged 1.25 per mile buying 1.50 fuel, partial toll reimbursement, and no other fees but Qualcomm rental $15 a week. Everything was cheaper then too, like brand new Michelin drives for $300 installed. $99 oil changes, etc. find someone else to lease to, or rent a trailer from Bowman or Talay and stay on your own.
Im not an O/O but shouldnt a dedicated route like that have a flat rate + FSC. What happens if diesel goes up another dollar?
take your total revenue based upon 2000mi/week remove your fuel, tolls take whats left, pay all your bills (insurance, truck payment) if the balance is within your means, go for it this way, if you make 3000 miles, thats all gravy and you can start saving a decent truck is running at 65cpm, hence after 3000 miles you have $2550/wk at 3000miles less tolls
