When the TWIC was first issued, I was doing a lot of DOD work. Had a CAC, was told that it was going away, and TWIC would take its place. So I jumped on getting it. During the 12 years I kept it active, it was used like a dozen times. Still do DOD loads and lots of others that claim to require it, but don’t actually.
Unless the company is going to pay for it, would recommend holding off until you know it is worth getting.

On a less lucrative note (but more fun :))--since nothing really was known about me at the time--part of my last girlfriend's family tried to implicate me as some sort of fugitive from justice (with no evidence/proof/papertrail to back that up).

The TWIC card trashed that effort pretty quick...:biggrin_2559:

Dude ... It is $125 to get one or $93 if you have a Hazmat endorsement ... Get it ... It's good for 5 years.

Twic is very cheap fellers. Think mine was like 75 dollars. Easy to get. Really need it if ur doing equipment or running out of ports. Maybe not if doing reefer or van
