kinda ugly looking, ain'tg it.

fuel in oklahoma was 3.07 two weeks ago. around the west it averages 3.80 now. last night i fueld up at the mexican border for 3.50.

i was literally 500 feet from the wall. picking up onions

 

yesterday i was doing some line haul runs back and forth to atlanta and my 10 yr old was riding with me. she was wearing a pair of sandles and the strap broke and they would not stay on her feet . so around 9 o clock last night we started getting hungry so i said lets stop at the ta in jackson ga get you a new pair of flip flops and get a bite at the resturant plus i was needing fuel. o.k. so we get to the ta and on our way in a lady stops us at the drivers entrance and asks us what are you doing i said we are going in to get her a pair of shoes (flip flops) qand a bite to eat then im pulling under the island and getting fuel. the employee then says oh no your not. what i said. the lady then says she is not coming in with no shoes. i said well she does not have any due to the fact the strap broke on her other ones. well follow me then she says. we go into the ta and we go over to where they got the flip flops and i get my kid to try on a few pairs to see which one she liked the best. i turn around and there stands a off duty spalding county sherriff we then proceeds to ask me what the problem is. no problem i said just getting my kid a pair of shoes and we are going to get some food and fuel. the whole time the lady is standing behind the cop saying thats him and thats her what are you gonna do about this sherriff. by now my kid is in tears crying and im standing there in a state of disbeleif. the cop then says i think its best for all involed for you to leave. i then blew my top and a few words were exchanged on how this is a truckstop, im a truckdriver and the employees were here to serve the truckers. im then proceeded to pay for the shoes and said to my kid lets get a bite. the whole time the cop is still eyeballing me and so is the employee. i then turn around at the entrance of the resturant and said i want to speak to the manager. i was told no she was busy and didnt have time to talk to transients. what i yelled out i am far from a transient im a georgia resident with a home in savannah and a 150,000 dollar truck sitting outside after a few more words and the cop placing his hand on his cuffs the manager shows up and asks whats going on the employee then says these homeless people were trying to steal shoes for the girl. now remember i was stoped at the drivers entrance on my way in and was asked what are you doing. i then look at the manager show her the receipt for the shoes and asked if her and the cop would go outside with me. we then went out and we walked over to my truck which was in front of the fuel island. i climb in and pull out the shoe that was broke and threw it on the ground at the managers feet. THATS why i was buying shoes i said i then pointed to my shiny 300 gallon tanks and said these are empty and i was gonna buy over a thousand dollors of fuel and eat at their resturant. i then pointed across the parking lot and said what does that sign say. the manager said what sign. i said the big yellow one that says LOVES because thats where im buying my fuel and food tonite. ta will never get another dollar from 1 bad i will never stop at another ta ever again. i hope that yall read this and will join in with me and not patronise a company that will do this to a father and his daughter.

Next thing I would be doing is firing of an email to corporate, they tend to take crap like this very seriously. The manager will probably lose her job as she deserves, and the check out chick will lose her job!
