I'm from MN, and currently live in northern WI.
6 months means nothing to me....its still only a few months a year.

And there were times this winter where ALASKA was warmer and had nicer weather than a lot of other parts of North America

Like sleep in a WARM house? Without wondering if the bunk heater or APU will work? Or staying in the cold only as long as I want? And not go out into it if I don't?

Oh, I can help you live vicariously through me...! :yes2557:

The Iditarod ended this week and it was a doozy. There were injuries, extremely bad weather, including 80-mph winds in the Gorge (one of the most difficult places under "good" weather conditions) and many, many areas with little or no snow. AND places with those 80-mph winds and blizzards. It was a very unusual race.

Kind of like my last few weeks...very unusual.

Alaska76 knows. Contrary to popular misconception, Alaska does have four seasons...and they are completely different: June, July, August, and Winter.

That reminds me... Need to shop for an APU.

It's going to take a week to clear all the dust from having the windows down while parked in Yuma.

So I'll have the dust cleaned up about the time I get there if they send me directly back...
