Interesting thing. I still have Gordon as a Facebook page and the other day they were asking their drivers their opinions on APU's : "We wanted to request feedback from our award winning professional drivers about APU's. What are the pro's and con's from your perspective?" - that tells me they are at least considering removing them from their brand new trucks, maybe trying to gauge the level of driver revolt if they did you think?

Or they're trying to gauge the level of product failures out here as they balance the two opposing corporate policies about APU's. I had one for six weeks that never worked. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to test the "this is how you get it done" advice given to me be a very helpful Green Bay DM just before he closed up shop and went home for the night.

That is a good paycheck. Almost double anything I made. It's a pity that trucking companies don't see the real value in their drivers. Or is it that drivers are willing to be mistreated like that...OOIDA thinks so. I'm not sure I disagree.

First week back was $650, then $870 last week was $1439, this one was $1370, the one I'm working on will only be about $900. Feels good to make $$$ again.

By the way, they are asking to see how the GTI drivers will feel about not having APUs. They aren't asking because they are going to make a decision by it. Just trying to see how many drivers they may lose.

The APUs are as good as gone. They may have them on the trucks now and have some in stock, but the 250 trucks they had on order are almost (or should) be delivered. Heartland doesn't want to know about APUs.
