Would not be going if they weren't loaded miles.

Sounds too familiar. Could all dispatchers be jerks? (or worse)

I've experienced what your friend went through pokerhound. I recently turned my truck in at KLLM and it was do to this issue. From what I witnessed, regional drivers make more than OTR with this company. I did both myself. The first six month's pay was equal to 2yrs worth of pay as an E-5 in the military. After that, I was lucky to see $300 in two weeks. The miles weren't there and I am an on time type of guy. I HATE being late. I follow the rules and spoke to my dispatcher ALL the time. I sent in messages when accepting loads to let them know if I get sent a late load it has to be able to be dropped off or swapped at the destination. If I do the dead head that is. It's sad that I get nothing but they receive their truck payments and what not. Loved it as a starter company but I'm teaming with a friend who owns his company and trucks. I'm looking forward to my new endeavors.
Hope this helps someone out there.

I left KLLM for "greener grass"... Came to John Christner.... Made a lot more $$$$ at KLLM.... Starting to regret my decision

Amen! Let's hear from actual drivers, past and present.

If you dont mind, bama. Compare the two leases. Since youve done both. What are the good and bad of each company? I have read the jct threads and think I have a pretty good handle on it but dont know much about kllm. The web site doesn't really give any info on their lease. What's going wrong at jct? Lack of miles? Bad truck? Or just not enough money? Just curious as I'm looking at both companies

At jct I have a great truck. That's not the problem.. The problem is money, take this week for instance. I turned in 3894 miles and brought home $1304.09 .. Last week was 2400 and some change for $659 I figured it up at KLLM I would have brought home over $1900 this week at right at $1000 last week... It's in the fuel surcharge and truck payments... Jct claims they pay 100% surcharge, where KLLM is .54 per mile this week.... Jct was .45...and truck payments at jct is nearly twice that they charge at KLLM.
