    Hello friends,

I have a cummins with an auto transmission (eaton).

when I drive on a slippery surface, the truck hits the breaks by it self and it makes a sneezing like noise. Which sounds like an air valve is being released. My mechanic suggested that I plug out my traction control so that it can never be used and I won’t have this problem again.

If I listen to him and do that will it cause any problems to my transmission? Is doing this dangerous? Please let me know.

Isn't there a switch that says TC with a tire on it? If there is that controls the traction control. Turn it off and give see if that helps.

What’s the issue? That sounds like traction control is working as it should. (Not that it works very well in my opinion) traction control applies brakes to the wheel or wheels that are spinning “forcing” the power to go to the wheel with traction.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
